I have a trunk with an inbound DID that behaves rater oddly.

I can call the trunk , and the trunk rings on the PBX unfortunately, I am never transferred to the PBX voice mail. I have adjusted the PBX voice mail to pick up at different times such as 10 or 20 seconds. When the PBX voice mail should be picking up however the providers' voice mail comes on to an unassigned mailbox. I was wondering if this is caused by an incompatible CODEC ftrom DID to voice mail , or whether the PBX is sendinbg something back to that provider's server that is interpreted there to transfer the call to voice mail.
